Rush Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi Spring 2008

Dear Prospective Member,

Do you find yourself wishing you were more actively involved with a campus organization? If the answer is yes, then Phi Sigma Pi might be exactly what you are looking for! Phi Sigma Pi is a coed national honor fraternity based on a tripod of ever-important aspects of life: scholarship, leadership, and fellowship.

Scholarship: As a brotherhood, we continuously strive to broaden our horizons by taking on challenges and seeking new experiences. In Phi Sigma Pi we share, gain, and promote scholarship through our diversity. By incorporating scholarships, speakers, tutoring, and various cultural events into our activities we are able to expand scholarship beyond academic recognition.
Leadership: It is important for all brothers in Phi Sigma Pi to be leaders. Leadership can be achieved by our involvement in seminars, service projects, conferences, and retreats. Current projects the brotherhood actively participates in include: Duck Pond Adopt a Spot, adoption of a class at Gilbery Linkous Elementary School, weekly visits to the Humane Society, our annual 5k Charity Run, and many other community events.
Fellowship: Involvement in fellowship activities can build friendships that can last far beyond your short time here at Virginia Tech. Phi Sigma Pi offers participation in social and recreational events such as tailgate parties, spring semi-formals, alumni events, intramural sports, and road trips to other chapters.
A minimum of 3.0 QCA and at least 12 credits are required for membership in the Alpha Rho chapter of Phi Sigma Pi. If you have questions regarding the next rush in the fall, please do not hesitate to contact Kevin McLean, Rush Coordinator or Kate Wooldridge, Initiate Advisor of Spring 2008.
